LANDLORDS & LETTING AGENTS

Leeds licensing. Electrical safety support.

If your rental property falls within a Leeds selective-licensing area, SIG can help with electrical inspections and follow-up work. Check the official boundary and licence requirements for your address.

THE SIG APPROACH

Organised from start to finish.

01

Check the address first

The scheme covers designated parts of Leeds. Use the council guidance to establish whether your property is included.

02

Electrical documentation

We can help arrange EICRs and any separately quoted remedial work.

03

Portfolio coordination

Agents with several affected properties can discuss a coordinated programme and bespoke pricing.

The current scheme runs from 9 February 2026 to 8 February 2031 in designated parts of East, South and West Leeds. Check your exact address and any exemptions.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT ASK

Good to know.

Does an EICR mean my licence is approved?

No. Electrical documentation is one part of the requirements. Leeds City Council determines licensing requirements and applications.

Do I need a new report immediately?

Check your existing report, its recommended next inspection date and the council requirements. The scheme does not mean every property automatically needs a replacement EICR.
