ELECTRICAL INSPECTION & TESTING

EICR inspections to BS 7671.

Our Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) follow BS 7671, the IET Wiring Regulations, within the agreed extent and limitations of the inspection. We inspect and test the fixed electrical installation, record the findings and explain any recommended next steps.

An older installation does not automatically need upgrading simply because the wiring regulations have changed. Our “pass if we can” approach means a fair assessment of the installation’s condition, with remedial work quoted where it is needed.

THE SIG APPROACH

Organised from start to finish.

01

Work around your business

Tell us about access, operating hours and shutdown restrictions so we can plan the inspection with you.

02

One site or a wider programme

From an individual workplace to a programme across several offices, we help organise the work.

03

Add PAT to your visit

Include appliance testing in your enquiry and we will confirm the right scope and pricing.

THE TEAM BEHIND YOUR INSPECTION

Qualified electricians.
Checked certificates.

100%

Every certificate checked

100% of certificates are checked before issue. Clear findings and carefully reviewed documentation are part of every job.

OUR TEAM

Employed and fully qualified

We only use employed electricians to deliver a consistent service. All our electricians are fully qualified.

CLEAR ID

Branded uniforms and ID badges

All our electricians wear branded uniforms and carry ID badges, so tenants, homeowners and site teams can identify who is attending.

A PRACTICAL APPROACH TO EICRS

“Pass if we can.”

We do not look for remedial work to sell. We assess the installation fairly and report its condition accurately. If it meets the requirements for a satisfactory report, it passes. Defects that require attention are recorded and explained.

Resolve suitable issues in the same visit.

Where practical, we aim to agree an on-site remedial price and obtain authorisation before starting the work. Completing suitable repairs while we are already there can make the work cheaper and avoid another booking, further back-and-forth and arranging access again through a tenant or keyholder.

Some work will need additional parts, time or a return visit. We explain the options and agree the next step with you.

Subject to confirmation of scope, property details and access. VAT calculated at 20%. Click Submit quote to add your contact details and send this estimate to our bookings team for confirmation. This does not book the work.

Larger sites may qualify for a quantity discount. Send us the circuit count and, where available, your previous EICR so we can review the scope and offer bespoke pricing. Any discount is agreed separately and is not included in this calculator.

Unknown circuit counts, more than 60 priced circuits, multiple sites, larger or complex premises, restricted access need a reviewed quote. Out-of-hours work is charged at 1.5 times the standard price. More than 60 circuits may need two engineers. An existing EICR can help us quote more accurately. EICR reporting is included; remedials are separately quoted and authorised. Any suggested remedial budget is excluded from this estimate.

Mixed working hours. If your job includes a mixture of normal-hours and out-of-hours work, your invoice will reflect the work carried out at each rate. The calculator applies the selected rate to the whole job; tell us if you need a mixed-hours quote.

A FEW THINGS YOU MIGHT ASK

Good to know.

What is a commercial EICR?

An Electrical Installation Condition Report records the condition of the fixed electrical installation and identifies observations requiring attention. The agreed inspection scope and any limitations are recorded in the report.

Can you inspect while we are open?

Some testing requires isolation. Tell us how your premises operate so we can agree access and interruptions before booking.

What if I do not know the circuit count?

Select “Not sure” in the quote builder. If a previous EICR is available, it can help us quote more accurately. We review unknown counts, larger or complex premises, access restrictions and more than 60 priced circuits manually. Out-of-hours work is charged at 1.5 times the standard price.
